Tembuni ceremony
Tembuni is a Sundanese traditional ceremony that aims to maintain the baby's placenta or placenta. This is because the baby's placenta must be treated as well as possible. The baby's placenta is maintained by putting it in a white cloth accompanied by salt, brown sugar, and acid and then buried in the ground in the yard of the pregnant woman's house.
There is also the purpose of this Tembuni ceremony so that the child in the future can grow and develop into a happy child without any misfortune in his life later when he grows up and gets married until his old age.
This Ngalungsur Heritage ceremony is generally found in the Garut, west java, Indonesia. This traditional tradition is led by a caretaker or "kuncen" which is proof that they are still preserving and carrying out their ancestral traditions as well as socializing the existence of heirlooms from Sunan Rohmat Suci.
In this traditional custom, the ceremony participants who attend can witness the washing process of the heirlooms. The sacred heirlooms are a symbol of conduits as well as the struggle of Sunan Rohmat Kudus in fighting for Islam when he was alive. Java is indeed an area where the spread of Islamic da'wah in ancient times.
Nenjrag Bumi is a typical Sundanese ceremony that is often performed by residents of Bandung City. This traditional activity is aimed at babies so that in the future they will not be afraid or easily startled by outside disturbances.
Nenjrag Bumi is carried out by placing the baby on the floor made of split bamboo, then the bamboo floor is stepped on and kicked 7 (seven) times. This action is a therapy for the baby so that he is not easily surprised and becomes a brave figure.
